James Milner will reject Manchester City’s new contract offer in favour of a move to Arsenal, according to the Daily Star.
The England international is set to be out of contract next month, and would become one of City’s highest paid stars should he put pen to paper on their proposed deal.
However, he looks set to take on a new challenge after five years at the Etihad Stadium, during which time he has won two league titles, the FA Cup and the League Cup.
Milner has played over two hundred times for the Manchester club in all competitions since signing from Aston Villa, scoring seventeen goals while he has been capped fifty-three times for England.
Liverpool are also interested in signing the 29 year old, though it is the North Londoners who are the front runners in the race to secure his services.
Arsenal host Sunderland on Wednesday evening, with the home win priced at 3/10.
