Midweek football returns and even though there isn’t a full fixture list to choose from we have still managed to get our teeth stuck into a tasty treble in the English leagues. Despite there only being three selections we feel there is real value in the odds we have found.

Tuesday 7th March

19:45 Huddersfield Town v Aston Villa

The last time Huddersfield failed to score at the Kirklees Stadium was way back in October when they succumbed to a 1-0 loss against Sheffield Wednesday. Prior to Saturday’s 3-1 defeat against Newcastle they had embarked on a seven game unbeaten run in the league to keep the pressure on the top two. However, they face a Villa side in great form of their own after winning three games in a row and manager Steve Bruce will be keen to maintain momentum. Both sides are full of confidence and we can see goals galore in this fixture.

Tip: both teams to score @1/1

19:45 Sheffield Wednesday v Burton Albion

Sheffield Wednesday recorded a fantastic 5-1 home win over Norwich City at the weekend and made the Canaries look a very poor side. Credit has to be given to their strikers and Jordan Rhodes’ partnership with Fernando Forestieri looks to be blossoming nicely. They have won 12 times at Hillsborough in 17 games this season and face a Burton side fighting for their lives at the bottom end of the table. Although the Brewers are enjoying a four game unbeaten run we think it will end here and Wednesday will strengthen their hopes of finishing in the play-offs.

Tip: home win @13/20

Wednesday 8th March

20:00 Manchester City v Stoke City

Manchester City are have won four straight Premier League fixtures and cruised to a 2-0 victory at Sunderland on Sunday even though they barely got out of second gear. They have been an absolute joy to watch when attacking and will be determined not to give up their title chances too easily. Pep Guardiola seems to have got his team playing how he wants them to and City have eradicated the defensive problems that plagued their start to the season. Stoke meanwhile have only won three times away from the Bet 365 Stadium and their season looks to be more or less over after amassing 35 points and nothing to play for.

Tip: Manchester City -1 @8/13
