Reports from Spain claim that Rafa Benitez has set his sights on Espanyol’s £8million-rated winger Albert Riera.
Benitez is rumored to be a keen admirer of the 26-year-old Spain international.
As part of the deal, Liverpool will try to give them Argentine Argie Sebastian Leto, who joined the Reds in 2007.
A club official at Espanyol said: “It is certain that we are interested in Leto, but our idea is to prepare a separate deal for Riera.”
Reira, who was on loan at Manchester City two years ago, have also caught the interest of Spurs, Blackburn and Fiorentina.

I think Leto will be a great player in the future so I do not agree to sell him to raise money to buy Riera. Riera is only a good player but not a high class player. I agree to loan Leto to espanyol as apart of the deal.
