Club football is back this weekend following another round of Champions League fixtures in midweek. With the festive period coming up, some teams are facing an incredibly hectic period, with others looking forward to a break. Despite the difference between the leagues, every side will be desperate to pick up all three points this weekend, and we have found a number of interesting bets for you to take a look at.

Saturday 9th December

14:30 BST RB Leipzig vs Mainz

The Bundesliga is back with yet another big game. RB Leipzig have been in good form this season and they are the side that looks most likely to catch leaders Bayern Munich this season. They have taken 26 points from their 14 games, and they will be looking to bounce back immediately after their defeat in their last game. Mainz have been struggling this year and they are just three points clear of the relegation zone. A win at Leipzig seems unlikely, but they will do everything to steal a result.

Tip: Home win: 2/5

15:00 Burnley vs Watford

There is a mid-table battle in the Premier League this weekend as two of the surprise packages from the season go head-to-head. Burnley have been superb and currently sit in seventh, but they need to bounce back from a disappointing defeat last time out. Watford are in eighth-place with 22 points, three behind their next opponents. They are winless in their last two games, meaning they too need a win, which adds up to this one potentially being a very entertaining contest.

Tip: Home win @ 8/5

15:00 Newcastle vs Leicester

Newcastle are facing an uncomfortable Christmas as they have failed to win any of their last five games. This has seen them slip down to 15th in the table, just five points above the relegation zone despite Rafael Benitez overseeing a very good start to their season. Leicester, on the other hand, have been going the other way entirely. They currently sit in ninth with 20 points on the back of two wins in a row, and they will want to add yet another three points to their total this weekend.

Tip: Away win @ 19/10

17:00 Cagliari vs Sampdoria

Cagliari have been struggling in Serie A recently as they have won just two of their last five games. 16 points is a fairly good return, but they are only six points above the relegation zone, which means a win is vital if they are to keep the bottom three away. Sampdoria, on the other hand, have been doing very well this year, collecting 26 points so far. They had won three games in a row before a two-game losing run, meaning they will be desperate to get back to winning ways this weekend.

Tip: Away win @ 7/4

Sunday 10th December

20:00 Marseille vs St Etienne

Marseille have been looking very good this season and they are currently sitting in fourth-place in the league. 32 points from their 16 games means they are on the cusp of a Champions League place, but there is still a long season to come. St Etienne have been in a more difficult situation this season, and they are winless in their last five games. 20 points from their games means they are just four points clear of Toulouse in 18th, meaning they really need a win this weekend.

Tip: Home win @ 1/2
