West Brom 6/5 to beat Birmingham in Friday’s Championship fixture

Competition: Championship

Market: West Brom win

Odds: 6/5 @ Bet 365

Looking to bounce immediately bounce back to the Premier League, Darren Moore’s Baggies will travel to St. Andrew’s Stadium to face off against a Birmingham side appearing to be destined for another relegation battle.

Starting with the hosts, although former Swansea boss Gary Monk may have helped Birmingham avoid the drop to League One last season, it has been yet another incredibly difficult start. Coming off the back of a lackluster 0-0 draw with QPR last weekend, The Blues are still yet to pick up a win in their opening six Championship matches. To make matters worse for Monk’s side, Birmingham also boasts a terrible record against their Midland rivals. The hosts have now lost their last three meetings against The Baggies and have also conceded eight times on that losing run.

As for Darren Moore’s West Brom side, although it was a slow start to the season for The Baggies, they have begun to show their class in the final third. Looking to bounce straight back to the top flight, West Brom are coming off the back of an impressive 2-1 win over fellow promotion candidates Stoke and former Burnley man Jay Rodriguez has continued to shine at the start of the new campaign. Already scoring four goals this season, he is forming a promising partnership with Newcastle loanee Dwight Gayle, who scored both in last weekends victory. Now winning five of their last six matches in all competitions, we’re backing The Baggies to come away with the win on Friday.
