Adelaide United attacking midfielder Iain Ramsay’s strike against Perth Glory was judged A-League’s goal of the week for round 16.
John Kosmina’s men consolidated second position in the competition with a nail-biting 3-2 win at home to the Glory but it was Ramsay’s effort that stole the show.
The 24-year-old, who has struggled for game time in recent weeks, took full advantage of his rare start with a sublime outside-of-the-boot shot that smashed into the roof of the net shortly after the break.
Melbourne Heart’s Richard Garcia took second place for his header in the 2-1 defeat to Sydney FC.
The former Hull City winger headed home the opening goal on 24 minutes courtesy of a sublime cross from team-mate Nick Kalmar.
Meanwhile, charismatic Melbourne Victory midfielder Marcos Flores made it into the top-three following the 1-1 draw against leaders Central Coast Mariners.
Flores, who scored against the Wellington Phoenix in round 15, netted his second goal in as many games with a neat finish inside the penalty area after being picked out by Adama Traore before the half-time interval.
