Aaron Hunt hints at Wolfsburg exit

German midfielder Aaron Hunt has made it clear that he is far from happy with his current status at Wolfsburg.

The 28-year-old joined the Wolves on a free transfer from Werder Bremen this summer and has done pretty well at the start of his career at Volkswagen Arena.

However, despite some very good showings, Hunt has mostly been restricted to substitute appearances of late and he wants to have clear the air talks with the club chiefs.

The experienced midfielder is clearly unhappy with the treatment from Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking.

“I am not happy with how things are going. In sporting terms, you cannot blame me. There have been other reasons. I have not spoken to the coach in four months,” Hunt confessed to Bild.

Hunt made a total of 17 competitive appearances for the Wolves this season and scored four goals, but he only started three Bundesliga fixtures.

And having spent the majority of his career with Werder Bremen, the former Gemany international has admitted that a return to Weserstadion is a realistic possibility.

It remains to be seen whether the Wolves will be interested in letting the player leave in January.
