AC Milan closing on Tiemoue Bakayoko

Reports in Sky Italia are claiming that Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is edging closer to a summer transfer to AC Milan.

The Rossoneri are exploring a possibility to boost their midfield options this summer and have already been linked with several players including Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Club’s general manager Leonardo has however admitted that the Serbian midfielder would be too expensive for AC Milan and Tiemoue Bakayoko has been highlighted as a more affordable alternative.

The 23-year-old Frenchman only joined Chelsea last summer in a €45 million deal from AS Monaco. He failed to prove his worth under Antonio Conte and appears not to fit into Maurizio Sarri’s unique style of play.

The Blues are said to be willing to let him go and AC Milan have already approached the Premier League club over a possible summer loan with an option to buy.
