AC Milan eyeing Branislav Ivanovic

Italian giants AC Milan are considering an ambitious bid for Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, according to Tuttosport.

The Rossoneri’s back line is set to undergo major changes in the January window, with Cristian Zapata and Philippe Mexes both nearing the exit door.

It is no secret that coach Sinisa Mihajlovic wants to sign an experienced defender who could slot straight into the starting line-up, and the latest reports suggest he is keen on his compatriot Branislav Ivanovic.

The Serbian defender will be out of contract at the end of the season, and following some under-par showings, the Blues will probably listen to offers for his services.

AC Milan officials have made an inquiry into the availability of the 32-year-old footballer and they are expected to step up their interest in the coming weeks.

The Rossoneri currently sit seven points behind Champions League positions and are 16/1 chance for a top 3 finish.
