Italian giants AC Milan are hot on the trail of Manchester United flop Memphis Depay, Sport Bild has suggested.
The Netherlands international joined the Red Devils last summer as one of Europe’s hottest prospects, but he has utterly failed to prove his worth at Old Trafford.
After scoring just 2 goals in 32 Premier League outings, Depay looks set to leave the Red Devils for greener pastures.
Bundesliga side Wolfsburg expressed their interest in the winger few days ago, while AC Milan appear to have joined the race as well.
The Rossoneri believe Depay would be a good addition to the squad as he is used to playing in 4-3-3 formation and they are expected to make their interest concrete ahead of the January transfer window.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is unlikely to stand in the player’s way this winter considering that Depay has only spent a dozen minutes on the pitch in the new Premier League campaign.
