AC Milan lead chase for Thiago Silva

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport understands that AC Milan are in pole position to recruit Paris Saint-Germain star Thiago Silva.

The highly rated defender will be out of contract at the end of the current campaign and talks over a new deal are not progressing according to the plan.

It appears that Thiago Silva has decided to leave the Saints for greener pastures, and he could leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Tuttosport claims that Juventus and Barcelona are keen on his services, but former club AC Milan seem to be leading the chase.

Namely, the Brazilian has promised he would return to San Siro one day and with the club apparently on the road to recovery, the centre-back believes the time has come to rejoin the Rossoneri.

Thiago Silva has been in constant contact with AC Milan officials in recent weeks, and a summer return appears on the horizon.
