AC Milan reveal Suso to join Genoa

AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has moved to reveal that Spanish midfielder Suso will be moving to Genoa in the upcoming transfer window.

The Rossoneri finally showed some improvement to record a 4-2 triumph over Frosinone, and the club officials were delighted with the win that saw the team climb to sixth in the Serie A standings.

Speaking after the game, Adriano Galliani admitted that Suso was on the verge of joining Genoa, while virtually ruling out the sale of Keisuke Honda.

“Transfer market? Boateng will be our first reinforcement, while Suso will go to Genoa,” Galliani told Sport Mediaset. “Honda? He never asked for transfer.”

While the Japanese midfielder impressed on his return to the starting line-up, his Spanish teammate was again left out of the match day squad and no doubt he has gotten used to watching the games either from the bench or the stands by now.

Namely, Suso made just one Serie A appearance this season and it is clear that his long-term future at San Siro is in doubt.

The January move to Genoa will serve as an opportunity for the 22-year-old to get his career back on track, having previously shown a great deal of potential during spells with Liverpool and Almeria.
