Adil Rami linked with Old Trafford switch

Daily Mail is reporting that Valencia defender Adil Rami could be joining Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The France international is currently on loan at AC Milan and everything suggests he will not be returning to Mestalla in the summer.

And while the Rossoneri have been impressed by his performances, the failure to clinch Champions League qualification means they cannot afford to pay the agreed £10 million to turn his loan deal into permanent move.

As a result, it has been reported that Rami was instead offered to Manchester United, who are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.

Having proved his worth in French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the 28-year-old would definitely be a good replacement for captain Nemanja Vidic, who has agreed to join Inter Milan.

Since joining AC Milan from Valencia, Rami has made 13 Serie A appearances and scored no less than 3 goals in the process.
