(GSM) – Gianluigi Buffon will not be leaving Juventus for Bayern München, according to his agent.
Speculation arose last week, when the Turin giants were thought to be luring Bayern’s star winger Franck Ribery with Buffon being a part of the deal.
However, Buffon’s agent, Silvano Martina, has quashed rumours linking the World Cup winner to the Bavarian giants.
Speaking to Tutto Mercato Web, Martina said: “There is really nothing to say on this matter.
“I don’t understand why the newspapers continue talking about Gigi’s future.
“He has three years left on his contract and he is happy at Juventus,” Martina added.
“He has obviously never asked to leave and he will not do so.
“Anyway, I really don’t understand where these rumours come from,” he concluded.
Buffon, who joined the Bianconeri nine years ago in a world record transfer for a goalkeeper from Parma, stayed with the club when they were relegated to Serie B due to their involvement in the Calciopoli scandal in 2006.
