(GSM) – Gianluigi Buffon will remain at Juventus for the remainder of his contract, according to the player’s agent.

The Italy international, who won the World Cup in 2006, has been linked with a move away from Turin.

Reports in the media claimed recently that Juventus might sell him as the Bianconeri look to rebuild their team in the summer.

But Silvano Martina has quashed the speculation that the Manchester City and Bayern Munchen target will not leave the club.

The World Cup winner has been linked with Manchester City and Bayern Munich in recent weeks.

Speaking to Tutto Mercato Web, Martina said: “Gigi will stay another three years at Juve. There is absolutely nothing [to rumours linking him with a move away from the club].

“Actually I don’t understand why these teams and figures keep coming out. I can guarantee that we don’t know anything about them.

“Gigi has three years left on his contract with Juve and nothing leads me to believe that anything will suddenly change,” he concluded.
