Maicon’s agent Antonio Caliendo has refused to comment on speculation linking his client with a move to Manchester United.
The Inter Milan defender is said to have interested the Premier League champions for some time, though new reports on Tuesday have seen their neighbours Manchester City linked with the right-back.
The 28-year-old has expressed a desire to leave the San Siro for some time with a move to Real Madrid mooted in the summer.
However Caliendo won’t comment on links with United – and has admitted in the past Inter have the power to decide Maicon’s future.
“Maicon is a big player, the best in the world in his role,” agent Antonio Caliendo told Sky Italia.
“Should there be offers and president (Massimo) Moratti will want to evaluate them, we are ready to sit around a table and discuss.
“Manchester United on Maicon? No comment.”
