Everton are reportedly showing interest in former Juventus striker Richmond Boakye, according to the player’s official representative.
The 24-year-old did well to get his career back on track after joining Crvena Zvezda, and he has been in prolific form over the last year or so.
Having bagged impressive 30 goals for club and country in 2017 alone, Boakye has been attracting a lot of interest from abroad of late, with Premier League holders Chelsea also believed to be keen.
The striker’s agent has now moved to reveal that Everton and Shanghai Shenhua have been in contact of late.
“Shanghai representatives have called me, we’ll see what happens. Several European clubs are also interested in Boakye, namely Everton. There have been calls from Germany as well,” agent Ivica Pavlovic told Sportski Zurnal.
Boakye joined Crvena Zvezda on a free transfer in July after a successful loan spell, signing a three year deal, with the Serbian giants expected to turn a nice profit when they decide to sell.
