Zenit and Dynamo Kiev are eager to sign Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas in the January transfer window, according to the player’s representative.
Aspas, 25, has a €10 million release clause inserted in his deal and is widely tipped to leave Balaidos for greener pastures in the near future.
Chelsea and Swansea are both reportedly prepared to match the asking price, but they have yet to make concrete proposals for the highly rated forward.
The player’s agent now reveals that Zenit and Dynamo Kiev have also enquired about Aspas with a view of making a bid for the player’s services.
“Officials of Russian Zenit and Ukranian Dynamo have contacted me regarding the transfer of Iago Aspas,” agent Felix Gende confessed to Izvestia.
He then went on to say that both Aspas and Celta would prefer that he stayed until the end of the season, but admitted that a big money offer could change their minds.
Iago Aspas has spent his entire career at Celta Vigo, scoring 41 goals in 125 league appearances for the club.
