Ajax Amsterdam are through to the next round of the Dutch Cup after a 2-0 win over FC Utrecht on Thursday.

The home side had a chance to take the lead in the 69th minute but Klaas Jan Huntelaar had his penalty saved by goalkeeper Vorm.

But a minute later, Uruguayan Luis Suarez did beat the opposing goalkeeper for 1-0.

Huntelaar made up for his earlier mistake with three minutes left to play, netting Ajax’ second and leaving Utrecht without a chance to make a comeback.

The draw for the third round, which was performed later at night, includes a top clash between AZ Alkmaar and league champions PSV Eindhoven.
