(GSM) – Ajax player Evander Sno suffered a cardiac arrest during a youth match against Vitesse/AGOVV on Monday. The player was successfully revived by emergency services.

Sno, 23, lost consciousness after 63 minutes in the match between Young Ajax and Young Vitesse/AGOVV, and was initially treated by the two team medics and a physiotherapist.

A defibrillator was used four times, which according to Vitesse’s official website saved the young player’s life.

According to the latest reports, Sno was conscious in the ambulance that transported him to a nearby hospital.

Sno, who previously played for Feyenoord, NAC Breda and Celtic, joined Ajax in 2008 but spent most of last season on loan at Bristol City. During his medical before joining Ajax, no heart problems were discovered.
