Ajax through to play-offs final

Ajax Amsterdam easily advanced to the final of the Dutch play-offs for a Champions League spot.

The runners-up of the regular season had already beaten opponents SC Heerenveen 2-1 in the away match. In Amsterdam, a 3-1 result confirmed the difference in strength.

Kenneth Perez scored twice, of which once from the penalty spot, and the other goal came from fellow Dane Dennis Rommedahl. Pranjic scored Heerenveen’s only goal.

The visiting side played the entire second half with a player less after a double yellow card for Bradley in the 39th minute.

In the final of the Champions League play-offs, Ajax face FC Twente who defeated NAC in the semi’s.
