Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi says it would be a “dream” to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Ligue 1 champions have made no secret of their intention to bring the Real Madrid winger to the Parc des Princes, as the Portuguese forward’s future in the Spanish capital remains uncertain.

However, Al-Khelaifi says he has respect for both Real and their president Florentino Perez, adding that he will act honourably in his pursuit of the 28-year-old.

“If I want to succeed in my dream of signing Cristiano, I will call the president of Real Madrid first,” he told L’Equipe.

“I wish him well. I know that he has two years left on his contract with Real Madrid. I have a very good relationship with Florentino.”

PSG could face competition for Ronaldo’s signature from former club Manchester United, who have been credited with an interest in bringing him back to the Premier League.
