Kuwait finalised their 23-man Asian Cup squad, with only two players based abroad.
Kuwaiti Premier League champions Al Qadsia have 10 players in the squad, which will be led by coach Nabil Maaloul.
Defender Hussain Fadhel plays with Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates, while Musaed Neda is based in Oman with Al Oruba.
Key players for Kuwait include Yousef Nasser and Bader Al Mutawa, who were both impressive at the recent Gulf Cup.
Kuwait open the tournament against hosts Australia in Melbourne on January 9.
They also have Group A clashes against South Korea and Oman, who knocked them out of the recent Gulf Cup tournament in a 5-0 drubbing.
