Alex Song nears Barca exit

El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Barcelona midfielder Alex Song is expected to quit Camp Nou by the end of the transfer window.

The player, who has three years left on his current deal, is reportedly not in the first team plans of boss Luis Enrique and is eager to leave the club as soon as possible.

And while a number of English Premier League clubs is reportedly keen on his services, Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan reportedly lead the race at the moment.

It is no secret the Rossoneri are on the lookout for a quality central midfielder after captain Riccardo Montolivo suffered a serious injury, while the Nerazzurri may have cooled off their interest having signed Yann M’Vila and Gary Medel.

Since joining Barcelona in a €19 million deal from Arsenal, Song has made a total of 39 La Liga appearances and scored one goal in the process.
