Massimiliano Allegri remains hopeful AC Milan can secure a top-three finish this season and qualify for the Champions League.
Milan have climbed to sixth spot on the table after a slow start to the 2012/13 campaign, and Allegri is pleased with the way his players have bounced back in recent months.
“We are going through a good moment where we are doing well. After our initial struggles where we lost many points, we’re getting better,” he told Sky Sport 24.
“When things go against you it is tough, but let’s see where we can finish in this campaign. Now the club have decided what they want in the future, and short term we want to get in to the top three even though it won’t be easy.
“We have to concentrate on what we are doing, and seeing as we are still a new squad we have to keep improving day by day, but at the same time have to be realistic.”
Milan are preparing for Sunday’s Serie A trip to Atalanta.
