Massimiliano Allegri feels AC Milan have made too many mistakes in the opening months of the new campaign.

Allegri is desperate to return to winning ways in Saturday’s Serie A match at home against Genoa.

The Rossoneri have already lost five league games this term and sit only 15th in the league table at the moment, much to the frustration of their head coach.

“We can’t be too frenetic and in the future we’ll have to play simple football. So far we’ve made a lot of mistakes and we haven’t been precise enough,” Allegri said at a press conference.

“The team’s performances have been comforting and we have to persevere with what we’re doing. We need to be more clinical in the final third and I’m sure we’ll get out of the mire.

“The players believe in what they’re doing on the pitch and I’m sure that we’ll get the win against Genoa.

“I recognise this is a difficult spell that we’re going through. We’re working as hard as we can every day to get back up the league table.”
