The Peruvian Primera Division clash between Cesar Vallejo and Union Comercio was marred by an unsporting goal by Cesar’s Piero Alva.

Peru striker Alva scored in the second half after collecting a ball that Union Comercio’s goalkeeper Juan Flores had let go due to injury.

An angry confrontation between the players ensued after the match, with a furious Flores needing to be pulled away by team-mates.

The match, won by hosts Cesar 3-1, also saw Victor Rossel pay a hefty price for his 33rd-minute strike for Union.

Rossel raced into the penalty area to divert a cross into goal but could not avoid a violent collision with the goal post.

The victory moved Cesar to sixth place on the standings while Union stay winless after two games of the new campaign.
