Massimo Ambrosini admitted AC Milan are not performing to their full potential but insists he and his team-mates can and will improve.

The veteran midfielder explained that the Rossoneri often make feeble startS to their campaigns and although he is unsure of what their final position will be, he knows their fortunes will change for the better.

“Our value will come out, we are always united and we will prove it,” he told Forza Milan.

“Right now I do not know our true value, in the sense that the team are not expressing their talent to the fullest.

“Do not worry, we are only at the beginning of the season and Milan have historically struggled to start the season well. In other words, we can and must do better.”

The 35-year-old went on to discuss the quality of the rest of the division and claimed he had not been impressed with the standard on show.

“Where can we get and what we can do will dictate the rest of the field, but we are Milan and I do not think that the opposition have shown that much class, apart from the two at the top,” he added.

Milan sit in 11th in Serie A with seven points from seven games.
