Paris Saint-Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti has denied he has been in contact with Real Madrid about taking over at the Bernabeu.
The Italian has long been linked with the role in the Spanish capital, with Jose Mourinho widely expected to leave and rejoin Chelsea.
However, Ancelotti, who has guided PSG to their first French league title since 1994 and came close to knocking out Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, insisted there have been no negotiations between himself and the deposed La Liga champions.
“I am honoured of the job I have done here. A manager in general has big responsibility. When you achieve a result you have to be honoured,” Ancelotti said.
“Why do you speak about Real Madrid? I’ve never spoken with Madrid. Yes, I’m planning (for next season at PSG). We start the season in the first week of July.
“This week has been dedicated to the celebrations. I haven’t reflected on my future. When am I going to announce my decision? I don’t know.
“I think we did a good job this season. I think there is only one thing we were not good in which was the Coupe de France where we had a defeat in the quarter-finals.”
Ancelotti also confirmed that the retiring David Beckham will play in their game against Brest on Saturday in what his set to be his final home match for the Parisians.
“He (Beckham) will play. Against Lorient (on the last day), I don’t know yet,” Ancelotti added.
“If he thinks it was the right moment to stop we have to respect this. Not just PSG but the football world has lost a fantastic player and a fantastic professional and a good man, but he has taken the right decision because he decided to stop and not other people.”
