Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti believes Marco Verratti can overcome a form slump and repeat his early-season displays.
The young Italian international has struggled in Ligue 1 in recent weeks despite excelling in the opening stages of PSG’s campaign.
Verratti joined the Parisian giants from Pescara in the close-season transfer window, signing a five-year deal at Parc des Princes.
Despite the 20-year-old’s slump, Ancelotti remains confident that the diminutive midfielder can rediscover his best form.
“He started very well and now he has some difficulties. This is normal, this is a new language, a new team,” Ancelotti told reporters.
“Sometimes I get angry with him, but I trust him. I know this is a good player, useful for the team. He will change for sure.”
