Ancelotti praises in-form Isco

Real Madrid C.F. manager Carlo Ancelotti has suggested Isco's place in Los Blancos' starting XI is 'non-negotiable' if the player maintains his current form.

Real Madrid C.F. manager Carlo Ancelotti has suggested Isco’s place in Los Blancos’ starting XI is ‘non-negotiable’ if the player maintains his current form.

The Spain international, who joined Real from Malaga for €30 million in the summer of 2013, has impressed in a deeper, more defensive role while the likes of James Rodriguez, Luka Modric and Sami Khedira have missed time due to injury.

“If [Isco] keeps playing like he has been, his place is non-negotiable,” Ancelotti said.

“He’s played well in every position. I think we should use him more going forward than in defense, although the key to his current run of form has been his defensive attitude.”

Additionally, Ancelotti went on to praise Gareth Bale’s performance against Elche last weekend.

Despite tallying 1o goals and five assists in 21 Liga BBVA appearances in 2014/15, the Wales international, 25, has bore the brunt of the criticism from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu faithful this season.

“He [Bale] has shown a very good attitude, fighting, winning, sacrificing for all of you,” Ancelotti added. “He had a very important performance last week.”

Facey to join NYCFC

Manchester City defender Shay Facey is on the verge of joining MLS side New York City FC on a six-month long loan deal, according to a report in the New York Daily News.

The England youth international, 20, has been on trial with the MLS newcomers since January, and should compete for place in manager Jason Kreis’ starting XI next term.

“First and foremost, I like Shay’s spirit, his mentality, he’s a real competitor,” Kreis said. “I think he’s very hungry to be a part of what’s going on here. I think he’s very hungry to move his professional career forward.”

Dortmund value Aubameyang at €40m

The agent of Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Oscar Damiani Jr., has admitted it will be difficult for Internazionale Milano to acquire the player because of the club’s valuation of the player.

The Gabonese forward, 25, joined Dortmund from Saint-Etienne in a bargain deal worth around €13 million, and has gone on to establish himself as one of the most feared forwards on the European continent.

“I’m convinced Inter would like to obtain his services,” Damiani Jr. told fcinternews.it.

“I am convinced of that because we have already spoken with Nerazzurriofficials.

“But I think it will be difficult for them to sign him. Borussia’s director-general has said he will not consider offers of less than 40 million euros.”

Aubameyang has bagged 10 goals and four assists in 22 Bundesliga appearances for BVB this season.
