Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti was left delighted with his side following their 4-0 win away to Toulouse in Ligue 1.

Goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Javier Pastore, Mamadou Sakho and Gregory van der Wiel did the business for the French capital side, who now hold a three-point lead over Lyon, although the latter have a game in hand.

Ancelotti praised his team after the match while singling out Pastore and Lucas Moura for special praise.

“Yes, this is definitely our best game of 2013,” Ancelotti said.

“We played very well, as was the case during the month of December. The performance was very good especially at the beginning where we used a lot of speed and there were many good combinations.

“I am satisfied. I do not think that Toulouse is a weak team but Pastore really caused problems early in the game with his goal.

“Our counter-attacks tonight were very dangerous and thanks to Lucas, in particular, who put on a very good display.

“Despite Toulouse being well organised, the red card hurt them and two goals down at the time it was impossible for them to come back.

“We are in a good spell. It is true that we have not played well against Lille, but this is normal. In this league, you cannot always be on top all the time. But the team is strong and with this the case we can dominate and demonstrate our quality.”
