Ancelotti quashes Ashley Cole rumors

Carlo Ancelotti claims that Chelsea have no intention of selling Ashley Cole to Real, describing the speculation as “absolute nonsense”.

The media reports from England claimed Real were on the verge of bringing Ashley Cole to Madrid, but the Blues boss is adamant the left-back will not be sold.

“Ashley Cole will not be sold at any price. There is no price that we would sell him at. We believe he is the best left-back in the world and because of this he will stay at this club.

“Nothing has changed in our position. Everyone can forget about Ashley Cole leaving this club.”

The Italian also denied making a bid for Benfica’s Fabio Coentrao, who was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
