Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has called on his side to return to winning ways in Saturday’s Ligue 1 clash with Rennes.
PSG have claimed just one point from their past two games, with a 2-1 loss to Saint-Etienne followed by a 1-1 draw with champions Montpellier.
Despite the results, PSG remain on top of the table with 23 points and a superior goal difference over second-placed Marseille.
Ancelotti said he had no qualms with the levels of performance his charges have been displaying.
“It’s true that we haven’t won our last two league games,” he said.
“It’s also true that we played a really good game with 10 men against Montpellier.
“I want to see the same attitude, the same personality we showed against Montpellier, against Rennes.
“It’s an important moment because we have 10 games until Christmas – seven Ligue 1 games, two Champions League games and one Coupe de la Ligue game.
“It’s an important game because we can improve our position.
“Qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League would be very good. We also have to win against Saint-Etienne in the Coupe de la Ligue.”
