RSC Anderlecht’s second half show earned the Brussels outfit a 0-3 win over KSV Roeselare, allowing them to defend their lead in the Belgian 1e Klasse. Club Brugge crashed to a painful defeat by Standard de Liege.

Roeselare did work hard to keep the leaders away from their goal but things were complicated by Sierens’ red card in the 41st minute.

Anderlecht began taking advantage in the final half hour and opened the score through Legear in the 63rd minute. Pokan made it 0-2 in the 81st, and the third and final goal came from Bart Goor in minute 89.

Standard de Liege made sure that the gap with Anderlecht remains four points thanks to a 1-4 victory over a helpless Club Brugge side.

Defour put Standard in the lead after 32 minutes and De Camargo doubled the advantage five minutes later. When Jovanovic added a third just before the break, things were all but decided.

Brugge lost Stijnen as result of a red card in the 76th minute, and Mbokani went on to net for 0-4 a few minutes later. Clement got an 83rd-minute consolation goal for 1-4.

Standard and Brugge now share the second place at four points from Anderlecht.
