Manchester United midfielder Anderson has joined Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side Internacional on a four-year deal.

Manchester United midfielder Anderson has joined Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side Internacional on a four-year deal.

The former Grêmio starlet, who joined United from Porto for £26 million in 2007, will move to  Porto Alegre on a free transfer after falling out of favour at Old Trafford.

“Thank you so much to Manchester United It is truly the best club in the world, I love it so much and have enjoyed every year I have spent there,” wrote Anderson on Instagram

“Thank you to all the team who work at United and especially all the boys, I have made some amazing friends, all of whom are great players and will continue to do great things.

“And one massive thank you to all of the fans, for your continuous love.. The best.”

While at United, Anderson won four English Premier League titles (2007/08, 2008/09, 2010/11, 2012/13), the FIFA Club World Cup (2008) and the UEFA Champions League (2007/08).

Lennon delighted with Everton move

Everton winger Aaron Lennon has revealed joining the Toffees on loan from Tottenham Hotspur was an ‘easy decision.’

Lennon, 27, had been frozen out of the first-team by manager Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane before signing for the Merseysiders on transfer deadline day.

The England international made just three starts, and nine total appearances in the Premier League, for Spurs this season, tallying two assists.

Although he faces competition from the likes of Aiden McGeady, Christian Atsu, Kevin Mirallas, Ross Barkley, Steven Naismith and Steven Pienaar to get into Roberto Martinez’s first-team, Lennon is more than ready for the challenge.

“I’m delighted,” Lennon told the club’s official website.

“It’s obviously been a tough start to the year for me, but I was over the moon when I got the call.

“It was a hectic day yesterday and it was a busy weekend, too. I was speaking to a lot of clubs, a lot of managers, but this was the one I wanted.

“Finally, when I got the call from Everton, there wasn’t really a choice, I just couldn’t wait to get up here and I’m glad it was all sorted.

“Everything about Everton made me excited to join.

“I’ve always liked the club, the way the manager [Roberto Martinez] has got the team playing, and the squad that they have. It was the most attractive to me and it was an easy decision.”

Everton (6-8-9), currently in 12th-place in the league table, will host bitter rivals Liverpool in the Merseyside derby on Saturday.
