Andrea Ranocchia nears January exit

Inter Milan centre-back Andrea Ranocchia is almost certain to leave the club in the winter transfer window, according to Tuttosport.

The former Italy international was last year appointed the captain and also awarded a new four-year deal, but things have changed a great deal since.

With Joao Miranda and Jeison Murillo impressing this season, Ranocchia was mostly restricted to substitute appearances and everything suggests that his spell at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza is drawing to a close.

AC Milan and AS Roma have been hot on his trail for quite a while, but it looks unlikely that Inter will allow the centre-back to join one of their top 3 rivals.

This means that Sevilla are now in pole position for the 27-year-old footballer as they see him as a perfect replacement for Marco Andreolli, who recently suffered a serious injury.

Inter reportedly value Ranocchia at €8 million, with the Nerazzurri also ready to accept a loan deal with an option to buy.
