Antonio Nocerino linked with Serie A return

Former Italy international Antonio Nocerino could be heading back to Serie A, according to Tuttosport.

The 32-year-old has been a free agent since he was released from his contract at Orlando City back in November, but he could again be playing at a high level.

Namely, plagued by selection problems in the middle of the park, Torino could offer Nocerino a chance to return to Stadio Olimpico.

With Afriyie Acquah banned and Joel Obi and Tomas Rincon battling injury, the experienced midfielder is seen as potentially quality reinforcement.

The well-traveled midfielder enjoyed spells with Juventus, Avellino, Genoa, Catanzaro, Crotone, Messina, Piacenza, Palermo, AC Milan, West Ham, Torino, Parma and Orlando City, while earning 15 Italy caps.
