Free-spending Anzhi are believed to be readying a substantial offer for Manchester United winger Nani, reports Izvestia.
According to the same source, the Russian club are already in talks with the player’s representatives over a possible switch to Makhachkala.
Anzhi are reportedly ready to offer the winger a yearly wage of €6 million in addition to performance related bonuses, but the problem is Nani requires around €8 million per campaign.
Nevertheless, the mere fact the Russians are the only club ready to meet Manchester United’s €15m asking price makes them the favourites at the moment.
Nani is hoping to leave Old Trafford in search of first team football, but despite interest from Juventus, Inter and Galatasaray, he is no closer to United exit.
Considering the circumstances, he will have to lower his wage demands and accept the offer from Anzhi if he is to avoid spending another season on the fringes.
