Competition: World Cup
Market: Argentina to qualify from the last 16
Odds: 2/9 @ Coral

Argentina will consider themselves favourites for victory against Switzerland in the penultimate last 16 match today. The South American side won all three of their games in Group F to make it this far, and now a win against talented European side Switzerland will put Argentina in the quarter-finals of this summer’s World Cup.

The likes of Angel Di Maria, Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain will prove too hot to handle for the Swiss outfit, but they too have a gem who can cause Argentina problems. Winger Xherdan Shaqiri, who plays his club football with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, is enjoying a very successful tournament so far, recently bagging a hat trick against Honduras.

Although superior, Argentina could well take their time to get into their stride against Switzerland today, which means backing them to win in 90 minutes could be the wrong option. Therefore, Coral are giving odds of 2/9 for the South American’s to win by any means necessary – be that extra time or penalties tonight.
