Argentina number one set for Serie B move

Argentine keeper Sergio Romero is set to complete his move to Sampdoria, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Serie B side have been looking for a new keeper all summer long and it seems that they have now found their man.

Sampdoria have reportedly agreed a transfer fee for Sergio Romero with AZ Alkmaar, thought to be just short of €4 million.

Argentina international is expected to sign a four-year deal at Marassi, worth €1.35 per campaign.

The transfer is only awaiting official confirmation, but latest reports suggest that the deal is already done.

Sergio Romero is considered Argentina’s number one keeper and his transfer to Sampdoria proves that the Blucerchiati aim for a swift return to Serie A.
