Arsenal host Sunderland in the Premier League tonight, with the Gunners looking to confirm their position in the top-three, which would confirm automatic qualification into the Champions League group stages.
Arsene Wenger’s men have been suffering in recent weeks, dropping points in three of their last four games in the division. But they boast a good record against Sunderland, losing only three times in the league since 1996, so the Gunners are expecting to come out on top today.
Sunderland, need a point to confirm their survival in the to flight, so they aren’t going to the Emirates tonight to make up the numbers. Dick Advocaat’s side are all but safe in the Premier League, but want to mathematically confirm their status so they can celebrate.
