Competition: Champions League
Market: Arsenal to win against Olympiacos
Odds: 9/20 @ Bet 365

Arsenal are looking to continue their winning ways tonight when they host Greek giants Olympiacos in the Champions League group stage at the Emirates. The Londoners are big favourites to come out on top following their upturn in form, but they could be met with some resistance given the strength of their opposition.

After losing their opening game in the group, Arsenal can ill-afford anything less than all three points tonight to ensure they’re staying in contention of a top-two finish to qualify for the next round. Olympiacos also lost their opening match, so they too will be desperate for a result.

Arsenal have been inconsistent this season, but come into this evening’s game off the back of much-improved form. They won away to fierce North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Capital One Cup, and followed it up with a win away to an in-form Leicester City side in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger’s men have always qualified from the champions League group stages under the long-serving boss, and this week’s clash is a must-win as Bayern Munich are the next opponents. Surprisingly, the Gunners haven’t been consistent on home soil this season, dropping points in two of their three games at the Emirates.

As a result, Olympiacos could well spring a surprise, especially considering their 100% record in their domestic league. The Greek Super League side have won all their games in the division, and are also desperate to get off the mark. Olympiacos’ defensive record is very impressive, so Arsenal could struggle to break them down.

Nevertheless, Bet 365 are giving odds of 9/20 for Arsenal to pick up all three points at the Emirates to get themselves off the mark in the Champions League this season.
