Talk Sport and today reporting that AC Milan defender Philippe Mexes could be on his way to Arsenal as part of a swap deal with Nicklas Bendtner.
It seems as though the Gunners are happy to let the Danish striker leave the club and now could look to do business with the Serie A side.
Arsene Wenger may be looking to add to his defensive options for this campaign as he looks to make a genuine challenge for the English Premier League title.
Mexes’ future at the San Siro has come under some doubt especially as he is reportedly one of the highest earners at the club.
As for Bendtner, after Arsenal have added a lot of attacking talent in this transfer window he will know that he may need to move on to play first-team football.
After impressing at Euro 2012 – the Dane has shown that he can score goals at the highest level and a move to the Italian giants could suit him perfectly.
This deal looks as though it could suit both clubs and players and may be done fairly quickly.
It is certainly one to keep an eye on, but will it go through?
We shall see.

As mouthwatering as it may seem, I doubt if this will sail through because of the terms. Mexes is 30 and Wenger as a matter of policy does not offer more than a year contract to players over 30
personally I think Bendtner is the worst a attacker ever, so I relly hope the deal will go through!!!!!!!!!!!!
