Arsenal and Chelsea eye Gulacsi

Arsenal and Chelsea are both considering a move for RP Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi, according to ESPN.

Scouts from the two Premier League outfits cast an eye on the former Liverpool shot-stopper during his side’s 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at the weekend.

The Gunners are on the lookout for a long term replacement for Petr Cech, 35, who is in the final eighteen months of his contract while Chelsea are assessing their goalkeeping situation with Thibaut Courtois yet to pen a new deal with the club amid interest from Real Madrid.

Gulacsi, who failed to make a single appearance in five years at Anfield has been at Leipzig since the summer of 2015 and has so far played sixty-three times for the Bundesliga outfit after two seasons with Red Bull Salzburg.

Internationally, he has been capped fourteen times for Hungary and was an unused substitute in the 2016 European Championships in France.
