Arsenal bid for Florian Thauvin

Arsenal are readying January bid for Bastia hotshot Florian Thauvin, according to L’Equipe.

Having finally persuaded Theo Walcott into signing a new deal at the Emirates, the Gunners can fully concentrate on their winter targets.

L’Equipe understands that Arsenal are ready to launch an assault on Bastia midfelder Florian Thauvin.

Newcastle and Lille have already shown experienced in the talented footballer, but while the Magpies are only prepared to offer around €2.5 million, Arsenal will offer double the amount.

The only condition is that the attacking midfielder arrives at the Emirates during the January transfer window.

Thauvin, 19, who has a year and a half left on his deal at the club, is currently negotiating a contract extension, but Arsenal hope to sign him before he pens a new deal at Bastia.

The highly rated midfielder has been in fine form this season, scoring 3 goals in 19 Ligue 1 appearances.

Scoring 3 goals in 19 games??? Hardly fine form, if that’s the case chamacks always been in fine form

  2. Nemanja Lazarevic says:

Maybe you are right Jeo, but bear in mind he is a central midfielder, not attacker.

  3. Eugene Danso says:

Illusion? Wenger is not gonna sign even an ant this winter; do not believe anything he says but let’s pray 4 our Arsenal.

  4. KLV says:

Do not believe anything AW says. No one else will be signed this window. He will say re-signing Theo is like signing a new player. He thinks Arsenal fans r stupid

  5. Dom says:

“Agent releases rumour of premier league interest in player to help player get bigger better deal and root out any interested big french teams?”…. Or am I just being cynical?
