Arsenal boss Wenger rings Partizan changes

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger made six changes for the Champions League match against Partizan Belgrade from the team that lost to West Brom in the Premier League last weekend.

Lukasz Fabianksi replaced Manuel Almunia (elbow) in goal after the Spaniard’s error-strewn display against the Baggies.

In defence, England’s Kieran Gibbs was passed fit following a foot injury to start at left-back with Johan Sjourou alongside centre-half Sebastian Squillaci.

Midfield saw Tomas Rosicky, Denilson and Jack Wilshere start as Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Eboue dropped to the bench.

Partizan Belgrade: Stojkovic, Stevanovic, Marko Jovanovic, Krstajic, Lazevski, Tomic, Medo, Petrovic, Sasa Ilic, Boya, Cleo. Subs: Zivkovic, Stankovic, Savic, Bogunovic, Kizito, Iliev, Smiljanic.

Arsenal: Fabianski, Sagna, Djourou, Squillaci, Gibbs, Rosicky, Denilson, Song, Arshavin, Wilshere, Chamakh. Subs: Szczesny, Koscielny, Nasri, Vela, Clichy, Eboue, Lansbury.
