Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini in the January transfer window.
Pazzini has been a hit in the Serie A this season having already scored seven goals and also featured for Italy in the friendlies against Holland and Sweden.
La Gazzetta dello Sport says Arsenal have made a £15million bid for the highly-rated striker.
But the Gunners will face competition from Chelsea, as manager Carlo Ancelotti is keen on signing the striker in January as Didier Drogba will be away for the African Cup of Nations.
Reports suggest Sampdoria want at least £20million for the striker that joined them from Fiorentina a year ago.
