Arsenal eyeing Ademola Lookman in January

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking to acquire the services of Everton’s talented youngster Ademola Lookman in January, according to the Metro.

Lookman played an important role in Paul Simpson’s Under-20 World Cup winning England side, and the 19-year old has shot to stardom in the last year. The youngster exploded onto the Premier League scene on debut for Everton, scoring in the Merseyside club’s 4-0 win over Manchester City last season. He has struggled for game time since that goal however and hasn’t featured at all in the Premier League this season despite Everton’s poor start to the season.

Ronald Koeman’s side are in 16th place, just two points above the relegation zone, and struggling for goals. Arsenal on the other hand are in fifth and will be looking for a replacement for star winger Alexis Sanchez who is likely to leave the club in the January window. Lookman could provide the perfect replacement, and with Wenger’s stellar record of giving young players lots of opportunities there is every chance that the winger could become a real star in North London.
