Arsenal join race for Wanyama

London Evening Standard understands that Arsenal are the latest club to have joined the race for Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.

Wanyama, 21, has been heavily tipped to move to English Premier League after impressing at Parkhead, with Manchester United and Fulham reportedly keen.

According to London Evening Standard, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen on luring the player to the Emirates.

The Gunners have watched Wanyama in action on numerous occasions this season and are convinced he has what it takes to succeed at the Emirates.

With Arsenal becoming famous for their selection problems, the player’s versatility is another reason why Wenger is desperate to add the Kenyan to his ranks.

Celtic are prepared to sell their prized asset if the price is right, but their £25 million valuation could prove to be a stumbling block to any deal.

Victor Wanyama has so far made 50 Scottish Premier League appearances for the Bhoys and scored 9 goals.
